Frankly speaking, this nyan nyan ver. had been planned for a year. I failed to sew this nyan nyan costume last year T^T. 

Lesson learnt ---> always start with a paper pattern when making new style of costume (>3<)b. 

Nyan nyan ver. is actually Ranka's part time job uniform in then NyanNyan Restaurant.

Later on she perform in the commercial advertisement for NyanNyan after she became famous. The first few lines of this blog is the lyrics for it. Quite an adorable song~ though the pronunciation was way too off... both the chinese and english..... 

Although this shooting was kind of sudden (Raz ask me less than a week earlier..), I am satisfy with it though. Thank you Raz for such rushing photoshoot, and also thanks to Molly for borrowing Ranka's wig~

Making Nyan Nyan costume was tough initially. After making a lot of research and failed one pattern, I manages to finish the base in less than 3 hours. Most challenging would be the collars, though I managed somehow, with slight unsatisfaction.

I never knew that finding a steamer was so hard until that week, when I went to more than 5 groceries, the few shopping malls near my house and also DAISO. None of them had the dumpling steamer..... Lastly, my brother found it in Mr.DIY (the savior!!!), which I think was quite costly. I wasn't expecting that price somehow, but since its the last resort, so I had to get it... For some reason, I can't find Pao that was available that morning as well. Hence, its empty inside the steamer. =3= Most shops weren't open that day, especially morning time, which was very pity.

Although its a very short photoshoot, less than 45minutes, though we start the car earlier, since I had movie session with family after that + the unexpected traffic jam on the way to the temple, we were left that minute amount of time.  Glad it turned out to be ok~ Though it would be better if I had my sheryl with me~ or even Alto =w=~

I didn't manage to finish up the lyrics this time... so "つづく" =w=. There's only 2 days left of my CNY holiday, so I was rushing on photos that I could settled at the moment while I still have freedom left. 

Secret time after school reminds me of Sailormoon op. Though they don't really resemble, but it did have that era's music, very the anime feel~ Couldn't said that I were fancied or had love for the song since I only heard twice before I doing this photoshoot, and just slightly glance through the lyrics... and got completely mistaken of the meaning.... OTL .. my bad....

The most complicated part of this Miki was the wig. I was thinking to get a Miki wig but I can't find any suitable for this version. The colour was quite extraordinary, pale orangy pink. After searching for some time in TB, I gave up and decided to dye myself. I used a light pink wig and paint with orange fabric dye. Wig became quite coarse and easily tangled after that though, have to ion it frequently and wig spray was not helping at all. Fabric dye method somehow gives kind of a fluorescence (might due to the dye color too), but it tends to stain on cloths, though the color stays. At least a better method than pastel chalk, I tried the first time and its not recommended as the colors really drop, and it won't stay long enough and very messy. I was satisfied with the end product, the color was just nice though it destroy the wig. 

For the antenna, I stick extra hair that I cut off after trimming the wig on a wire to maintain the hook shape of Miki's antenna. Normal water glue served as a very nice adhesive agent to fix the hair in shape, though the first layer required UHU to fix on the wire. I think it looked better after I shaped again when I attended the event Danny Choo cultural night in Paragon, Penang (pic below).

Although I don't like asking for tailor as I feel better and more secure to make costume myself, this uniform didn't piss me off though. It's tailored from Kuroneko's mum, and it fits perfectly on me, the craft was just perfect. She charged reasonably as well so feel free to order from her if interested (pm for details).

【Sneak Peek】Happy Chinese New Year 2013 - MF: Ranka Nyan Nyan ver.

It's been a while since I properly updated my blog, especially starting this year, everything seems to be flooding on me so suddenly - from homework to family to festives holidays. Well, since I am going to finish my studies this year ( Oh yeah~~~ a FINALLY~~~~), with all those thesis and papers to write, I decided to take a long CNY holiday before submerged into all these homeworks again.

I came back to PD on 7th Feb, started to do cleanup in my room and house until the very last minute before reunion dinner on the night of CNY eve. Things was as usual as past year, other than with addition of family members, more kids nowadays.

Eve: Cleaning + lunch with ancestors + reunion dinner + visitings and praying to all gods
1st day: Ang pao session + praying in temple + BBQ in mate's house
2nd day: help to prepare lunch for big family members + Ranka's shoot + "Die Hard" movie
3rd day: visiting secondary school friends + "Hotel Deluxe" movie + dinner with friends + gambling session
4th day: meeting long lost friend (HL) and Beng in Mid Valley
5th - 7th day: Pulau Pangkor trip + Cameron trip

Well, I don't really have much time to sit down and relax throughout the whole CNY week though, which now is a finally (phew~)

Since its Chinese New Year, when Raz asked whether I want to take any photoshoot during CNY break since he was coming back to PD during the holiday as well, the first thing I thought of was Ranka Nyan Nyan ver. One of the most chinese feel outfit I can think of, and its been planned for a year (Initially decided to do it last year CNY, which failed apparently because of my noob sewing skill... OTL).  This year, with all those preparation on "How to sew a cheongsam" study, though not perfectly satisfy but slightly satisfy on this short cheongsam which I complete in around 4 hours time ( without seaming though.....). It would looked more prefect if I can keep the waist more.

Although photoshoot did successfully carried on, I think I didnt pray well which there's always things that happened when want to take shoot. Weird traffic jam just before the venue for Ranka shoot. Previous day was supposed to be Miku's shoot, but canceled due to bad whether, low tide, no sun, unclear water..... OTL... Why.... ? = =

Still I was satisfy that Ranka was done nicely ~~~ ( Good job Raz~~~~お疲れ様でした~~) My first photoshoot in 2013 Year~~~ Though it was kind of pity that Miku had failed at the moment, but I will do it one day (USH!!!)

Late night at the moment and I need my bed now =3=. Sleep is always the best remedy for beauty~ Sleep more~ Slim more~ Beauty most ~ Nighty Night~
