I was aiming for Paragon's St Jo's Hall when I was preparing for this event. On 1st December 2012, MCT held this Le Midi Aristocrat (An afternoon with aristocrat) cosplay events that was held in Gurney Paragons, Penang. When I first learnt about this event, was actually thinking of a few plans , like Alices or Alichino.. But later, when I saw the event location, I was stunt with the design of the hall... hence that's why Queen Esther came up =3=

Initially, I struggled in between the nun's outfit or this black gown version of Queen Esther. Later on, knowing that it is hard to get chances like this to take photographs at Paragon ( its prohibited for private shooting), hence, Esther was on the road =w=

I spent around RM350++ for the whole gown, and less then two weeks time to finish the whole costumes, until early morning of the event day. Its almost been the habit already, since no matter how early I start working on the costume, it will always ends at the very first few hours before the event... 

I was quite struggles when making this dress. ( I am not a professional tailor, and never attend any classes or talks or any kind of workshop on tailoring before- Internet is always the best teacher =w=). I try to manage my way to at least create that costume though might not be proper but at least wearable =w=. For the pattern of the upper body of the gown, I use the pattern of a corset, later join the puffy sleeves on. For the skirt part, I use third quarter donuts. This is my second attempt to make ruffles, and this time, I think its quite successful. Thanks to the sumikin's tutorials (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zr_RNUR5PH8), it helped me alot, it was the easiest and clearest tutorials for ruff collars I've seen so far. I use approximate 7cm height x 5meters of cloth ( double layes) for the collars (with silver beads lining) and 4cm height x 3meters of cloth for the ruffs on the wrist. The most difficult part (or troublesome) would be putting on the silver ribbons and white beads on it. I am really thankful to my housemate Jothi for helping in this. For the silver rosary, I made it using paper clay. Results is awesome, just that it is way toooooooooo fragile...

I found it broken the next day when I cleaned up my stuffs... I had already put extra mounting board in it as the base, still it broke QAQ. I still couldn't figure out a better materials that is stiff enough for all these accessories. The same case happened to my Alice's necklace as well. Paper clay-- to fragile. o(>'''<)o

As an amateur tailor... the most difficult part would be estimating the size of my costumes... sometimes, it just don't fit well..  it was quite a nuisance, though with extra allowance, it might still be too small (especially the hips part.. so gg). So , a big aim here: To have the same body as my mannequin, so whatever that I tailor-made on her will definitely fit on me perfectly muahahhahahahahahahhahahaha (ゝ∀･)

I wasn't satisfy with this Esther actually, especially when I was in such a hurry making the costume, all details were just glued on. It tends to fall off gradually.. and my makeup was not good enough as well.. so.. lessons learnt here, would be not to do things in such an urgent condition.. (I'll stitch all the beads back when I am free > <).. and my face look fat with the ruffles... OTL..

Finally.. since last year May （？) completed another set of my long stored picca. This is the other group of love ward that I joined in. Thanks again to Yuki for inviting as Nurse Luka, also thanks to Yukito for helping in booking of the highclass hotel room. This is the first time working with Karie, and second time with Yuki and Dai (after the Sailors outing), all of you are just awesome! Thanks to Alex as well, for agreeing for the photoshoot in such a busy moment ( he had 3 shoots that day), the pictures are awesome as usual ///// Though I wasn't able to stay back for the night in that CEO hotel room (LOL), it was a pleasure for having such a nice moment with all of you~~ 

Well, about this song "Love-Coloured Ward", when you actually go through lyrics of the song.. I don't find much relation with nurse. Its a "love story" to me, about a girl showing the busybody character of female caring for the boy when he is sick and ended up having disease known as "love struck" with the boy. So.. why nurse outfit..? Apparently, this must be some uniform fetishism of the artist of the PV =w=.

Lol... I tried to translate the lyrics from chinese ver of this ( I can't read japanese fluently yet though), it started to sound so wrong... well... let's just considered this as a beautiful love struck story ( it is to me at the first glance of the lyrics ), that kind of doki doki feel when a girl meet up with a boy in his room in the middle of the night, and I would so love a Mikuo and Kaito version //////[fujoshi's satelite ON] or.. rin and len version....[cough cough ///

Anyway, the song is still awesome, ( please click on the link above to hear the song =w=) . Its rather adorable song/// i don't like the starting initially, find it kind of annoying (haha).. but somehow its addictive in the end, very cute song indeed. I think credits should go to the author of the fanart below as well .. it should be what makes this song so much popular.

【Food】One Piece Bistro Cafe

I was having a trip to Kangkar Pulai a few days ago to meet up with Min, stayed at her house for a few days while having fun in Johor and Singapore. 

When mentioned about Skudai, as an OP-maniac, this bistro cafe would be the must that shouldn't be missed out. This One Piece Bistro Cafe located in Taman Sutera Utama in Skudai, Johor, was one and the only anime-themed restaurant in Malaysia. The entrance itself is already a big attraction, with huge poster of Straw-hat Pirates team~ 

Decorations in the shop are considered quite awesome. I think they were trying to create the olden bar-type atmosphere here, with all OP related deco, and figurines. Though Min did commented that she was disappointed as she was expecting a team of luffy serving us instead =w= ( i think it would be so awesome, if the waiters were all dressed up like luffy //////)

I was not expecting much on the taste of their food for theme restaurant, wasn't surprise to find the food to taste so so. I ordered Volcano Spicy Ramen, well it tasted like normal hawker center ramen. Not spicy to my expectation. Min order for Sanji's special, Black Pepper Chicken Chop. The serving was quite small. Though I like the chicken a lot, much tender and soft.  

I like those cups a lot, mine with Nami on it while Min's with Zoro. 

They were doing this special offer from 12pm- 3pm, a free drinks with any main dish order. 

Overall services were quite good, food so so, but decorations were quite awesome
